Seriously, I am OVER this weather. I feel like I am on the longest date ever with the most boring person on Earth. It’s never ending & I am never getting what I want out of it. As the date goes on, the more bored I become & the more I fall into a deep depression. Okay, I am being so dramatic but is anyone else sick of this chilly weather? I was sitting on the couch with nothing to do- & started to truly go stir crazy. I even started tearing apart my closet- everything was bugging me. I realized it was because I felt stuck! So, I threw on my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans, a bright floral top for some much needed happiness, & my fave faux fur to own the fact that it was still 40 degrees out. The sun did help make a fun photo shoot & strayed me away from wearing all neutrals:

After getting out of my funk, I was totally pleased with this outfit. I realized it was time to stop wearing my fave dull (yet chic) neutrals & add some color to the mix. After all, maybe adding some color will convince Mother Nature to take it easy on us fashion lovers. I know we are all craving the freedom to rock our fave dresses & skirts. For now, this floral crop had to do. Best part? Got it on sale at H&M for $10! A total steal for a knit crop!

Of course- what funk doesn’t include your fave pair of boyfriend jeans? I rocked these Joe’s Jeans to expose my poor abandoned legs & to give them a little taste of some sunshine. AND if you think this will be too much skin showing for the weather, add some fleece tights underneath or even some fancy patterned tights for extra warmth & a unique touch.

Topped this look off with my staple faux fur coat. This was the perfect touch to the chilly weather- without having to truck around my heavy down winter coat. This piece kept me warm but also feeling much more free rather then constricted. It’s soft, versatile, & an essential that I will never let go of.

All in all, I defeated my cabin fever. I know all of us are ready to put all of our heavy pieces away; but don’t let it discourage you. You must have pieces in your closet that can help you dress as if Spring is near. Put on a light pair of jeans paired with a light knit long sleeve- & you’re already ditching that heavy coat & those winter boots that have held you down all winter long. I mean, I ultimately ended the day with a smile, right?! 😉
