Keepin’ my style simple is one of the best choices I’ve made as a dedicated lover of clothes. Let’s face it, none of us really want to explore the streets of NYC with stilettos on. I sure as hell don’t I have blocks to walk and shops to splurge. Now don’t get your panties in a bundle…this chick lives & breathes for a damn good pair of stilettos. However, packing light & comfortable for my weekend trip to Brooklyn was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made (even better than the decision of a getting a bottle of wine at dinner instead of a glass the night before…) & THAT’S saying something.
When I am packing for a trip that calls for lots of adventure (& a little too much walking) choosing the right shoes are the first priority. These high tops by Superga were a godsend. They went with every single one of my daytime outfits calling for some comfortable strolls around the streets of Brooklyn. The best part, I packed heels & such if I wanted to make any outfit amped up for a night out around the city. Just because you keep your style simple, doesn’t mean you should sacrifice the actual style aspect.
I lucked out and had a 50 degree weather day in NYC, so only this Blank NYC Jean Jacket was necessary. I more comfortable than ever & was channeling my inner grunge-y street style all at once. Let’s be honest, I was a tad hungover so being able to rock this knotted tie dye tee with some fleece leggings was alright by me. Not pictured: a bloody mary. How’s that for simple style?
Finished my look with a metallic scarf from the wonderful Printed Village, (check out their NEW collection) and added some gold hoops for that street kid vibe. Alas, I was on my way to indulging in some greasy slices of pizza with an ice cold brewski.
How do you keep your style simple when travellin’?
