We all know that classic movie, “Clueless”. If you were a chick like me at age of 8, you died over Cher and her posse. You needed those plaid skirts. You wanted dreamy Paul Rudd. & you wish you could have had a BFF as cool as Brittany Murphy (RIP!) As for movies, I have always been one to love playing dress up and get so inspired by TV. Whether it’s wearing a pair of “front row shoes” (see this Instagram post to know what I am talking about) or dressing for an era because a 70’s show inspired me…I always go hard or go the hell home.
I recently found these stellar shoes from TJ-MAXX for only $30 & have to say, these are my best pair of shoes yet. Can you say a Clueless moment gone right!? AS IF!!! Now, it was time to play dress up.
AHHHH, 50’s gingham! I just LOVE this off the shoulder gingham dress. For only $10 at TJ-MAXX, I instantly channeled some 60’s style vibes & felt like I was ready for an episode of Mad Men. CUE THE OLD FASHIONS!
I paired the rest of this look with a gold metal belt for a modern & fabulous touch. Of course, 60’s gingham is never complete without a bright lip. Red was my color of choice (& very 60’s might I add). I think being able to “play” when creating a look for a night out is the best part! Mix up your wardrobe, keep it interesting, & eventually, you’ll figure out what your style is. AND, because I scored this whole outfit for under $50, it gave me an opportunity to rock a look without breaking the bank….come on y’all…haven’t you learned yet that bargain shopping is KEY!?
After having a couple of drinks at the gorgeous Berkshire room…
I was headed down the stairs…
& out the door for a night out on the town!
