I was asked by a follower, Jeni Johnson, (FOLLOW HER @ http://www.jentendesigns.wordpress.com) to relate to my last post, “Arias Edge” from Pretty Little Liars(which is at the bottom of this post, or check it out under my “Fashion Cravings”). I recently made a collage of her personality and outfits, and how you can get every item on there for UNDER $50. So, Jeni took it upon herself to ask me to do an outfit of the day, but as if I were Aria and what she would wear. I loved this idea, and thought it was fun and exciting to see what I could find in my closet that related to Aria’s style and personality. Fortunately, I put together and outfit that I think fit her perfectly, but unfortunately, I found at least 100 outfits that I could be inspired by for Aria, REALIZING that my style is more like Aria’s then I ever thought. I guess its the uniqueness and daring side of me! I was having trouble picking just one, because all the combinations I had were fierce, but I think the one I chose was most channeling Aria and her distinctive edge. Being an actress, this was fun for me because it was almost as if I was taking on a character!
Take a look, enjoy, and please please PLEASE give me some feedback. I would love to hear what you all think! Special shout out to Jeni!—Thank you for the request, it was fun and I’m glad I could do this for you as well!
Front view. Tied the striped blazer up to give it a more fun look, Just like Aria would do. Added a neon green bandeau underneath.
Close up. Skirt: $9.99 at tjmaxx! (Bought yesterday) Blazer: $12.99 at tjmaxx!
Bandeau: 2 for $15 at luxe apothique @ the destin commons in destin, FL Necklace: Betsey Johnson, TJMAXX for $20.00 Long Necklace: Forever 21, $4.50
Here it is with blazer off. Bandeaus or bustiers with skirts are majorly trending right now. Looks great with or without the Blazer.
Front view without blazer. Love how the green adds an amazing pop of color, VERY ARIA. (ignore my face hahaha) oh, and my hair is inspired by her as well, she always embraces the curls and the curled bangs as well!
Skirt with shoes. The high low length on the side of the skirt is something very whimsical and different that Aria would love to wear, along with the snake skin spiked heels by created by Sam Eldeman.
Sam Eldemans, I got these at a christmas sale last year at saks off 5th for nearly HALF OFF!
Close up of belt and bracelet. Belt: 99 cents at GOODWILL Bracelet: It’s actually a necklace, but I just wrapped it around for a bracelet! Something Aria would do, and it was $2.00!
TIP: GOODWILL always has awesome vintage belts for only 99 cents, its honestly where I get alot of my belts, so don’t be scared and go get a bunch!
