If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I was non stop posting about Tour De Frosé. That’s because I was treated to a beautiful day around the city where the free frosé was ENDLESS. & when I say endless, I mean I had a fierce headache in the morning to prove it. My beautiful friends Lexi & Katie created a little bar crawl & company called Tour De Frosé! First, what’s frosé ? It’s basically a frozen rosé slushie! YUM. Second, Tour De Frosé was created to bring together some wonderful bloggers & tour the best spots in the city who have the best frosé. First, I had to make sure I was going to be comfortable the whole day—which is where this little black dress came in handy:
How perfect is this LBD? I was trying to figure out what to wear that would look fab for an upscale bar hop but also kept me comfy while sippin’ on way too much frosé…& I DID IT! I got this black tshirt dress the day before our bar crawl at TJ-MAXX for only….wait for it…..$10. YES, $10 EFFING DOLLARS. I swear, TJ-MAXX just gets me!
This t-shirt dress couldn’t of been cuter with the lace up detail, & all I needed to pair it with was a bright lip, sunnies, & pink studded Vince Camuto heels to keep that pink frosé theme goin’ all day long.
Okay, now, let’s walk through the day together so YOU can experience all of these amazing frosé hot spots:
1st stop: TINY TAPP (55 Chicago Riverwalk)
Restin’ flawlessly on the Chicago river, Tiny Tapp is the most amazing place to be if you’re lookin’ for a fruity frosé & beautiful Chicago scenery. This place was STELLAR, & the frosé reminded me of a fresh smoothie blended with strawberries, leavin’ me finished with my first in about 5 minutes. It was SO refreshing, I completely forgot there was even rosé in the cocktail itself… & that’s saying something! As the boats went by & sun continued to shine, I was relaxed & slowly feeling my day drinkin’ buzz hit. This is a MUST try & a view you MUST SEE.
2nd stop: St. Lou’s Assembly (664 W. Lake St.)
Okay, I really really love this spot. You walk in, & are immediately taken back in time to that old 50’s Diner feel. Then, you continue walking through to the back, pass a wall of gorgeous live greenery, & enter into a beer garden that is an absolute drinkin’ heaven. Although there are tables outisde (let’s not forget a bar, too!) we bloggers couldn’t resist sitting on the wood bleachers to get some stellar photos. This frosé was tangy with hints of grapefruit & left my palette craving more. Luckily, I had my girl @lexandthecity___ to chug it down with!
3rd stop: The Hampton Social (353 W. Hubbard St.)
What can I say? You literally cannot BEAT the atmosphere here. It was a 73 degree day, all of the windows were open, & our little section had a hammock, outdoor couches, & finished off with an amazing singer/guitarist who bravely took my song request, “Sweet Home Alabama”. This frosé WAS DELICIOUS. Blended with peach puree for a fruity yet tangy kick, I enjoyed it amongst good music, new found friends, & amazing service from the brave server that took on our tipsy tendencies.
4th stop: Drumbar (201 E. Delaware Place)
Yes, I did that. Can you blame me? I was about 5 frosé’s in! But on a more serious side, this place is the real deal. Their rooftop is just stunning; looking straight out at the Hancock & onto the streets of the busy but beautiful city. They have a huge indoor & outdoor section, plus a frosé that only true mixologists dream of. I had a total blast, & cannot wait to come here in the winter to keep drinkin’ all the frosé I can before that brain freeze sets in. Come see this place, you won’t regret it & you’ll want to stay forever…I know @kellyypricee & I did.
5th & last stop: Celeste (111 W Hubbard St.)
First off, if you have not been to this gem in River North, you are missing out. This rooftop is hidden & when you come up the elevator, you are greeted by the most beautiful greenery & elegant rooftop garden EVER. The best part was, we had the place to ourselves & got to lounge around as our Tour De Frosé was coming to a sad sad end. This frosé was DELICIOUS! It was much darker then the ones we tried & reminded me exactly of the razz-ma-tazz smoothie from Jamba Juice! YUM. I have to say, this spot was the perfect end to the most perfect, booze infused kind of day.
Before I wrap this up so you can finally get your frosé on…I need to thank Via! If you don’t know about Via yet, it is the chicest yet most affordable car service in the city.
